Walking Out Of Melbourne
Melbourne, Vic
Walking Out of Melbourne stretches between the work of Will Self’s own journey by foot from central London to Heathrow and the collection of Gordon Matta-Clark’s Odd Lots of New York. The walk traversed 40 km, along predominantly Melbourne Water owned land. A scattering of creeks, pipelines and wetlands.
Starting below the Westgate Bridge, the hike took two days passing from metropolitan / industrial / suburban + peri urban Melbourne to Greenvale Reservoir. The walk and our encounters have been documented and will form an exhibition in March 2018.
